Drawn, not blocked in
The mustard and camel pairs build their boot out of solid shapes. This one is all outline. The shaft pattern is traced in fine magenta lines that double and treble back on themselves, closer to a contour map than to stitching — the curled scrolls, the notched top, the small pull tab, all rendered as line rather than fill.
The result is a sock that reads as a graphic from a distance and as a boot up close, which is the reverse of how the other two work. There's a band of fine parallel lines across the instep where the vamp would be, and the pattern carries on over the toe instead of stopping at the ankle.
